Enterprise Oregon

 

Enterprise was incorporated in 1889. The City of Enterprise is the county seat for Wallowa County. In 1909 a courthouse was built and constructed of native stone. The building still houses the county offices. Enterprise’s population is approximately 2,020 and is located about two hours southeast of La Grande, on Highway 82. 

Enterprise is Wallowa Valley's center for trade for ranchers and also has the office for the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Surrounded by national forests all around the valley, Enterprise is close to numerous hiking trails and backcountry recreation areas.

Events ~

Enterprise is host to the popular Hells Canyon Mule Days, that takes place annually the weekend after Labor Day; Charlie Trump Memorial Fiddlers Show; Wallowa Resources' Watershed Festival and Mountain High Broncs & Bulls.
